What is VoIP?

VoIP stands for Voice over IP (Internet Protocol) or basically being able to talk over an Internet connection.
The technology has been around for a long time and has seen huge growth in recent years because of several key points.

  • A ton of features and in some cases the ability to add more features through customization or add-ons.
  • Flexibility to use phones in the office, at home and even on the road.

  • Almost unlimited amount of users / extensions.
  • Unlimited amount of simultaneous calls (unlike traditional PSTN / phone lines).
